Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Veritas Horizon LLC ("Eclipse," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of the Eclipse website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Eclipse, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older (or, where permitted, that a parent or legal guardian has consented to these Terms on your behalf) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Description of the Service

Eclipse uses astrological calculations and third-party artificial-intelligence systems to generate written natal readings, compatibility reports, daily content, and an interactive guidance chat based on birth details you provide. Access to certain features is offered through a combination of one-time purchases, consumable "tokens," and recurring subscriptions.

These services are provided by Veritas Horizon LLC. The Service is provided for self-reflection and informational purposes only and is not professional advice of any kind. Please review our Disclaimer for important limitations on how you should use the content.

4. Accounts and Security

You may need an account to use some features. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support.eclipsehq@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear compromised or that violate these Terms.

5. Your Content and Birth Data

To use the Service you provide content, including birth date, time, and place and any details you enter in the guidance chat ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Eclipse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and transform your User Content — including by sending it to our third-party AI providers — solely to operate the Service and generate the readings, reports, and responses you request, and as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to submit any User Content you provide, including birth details of another person used in a compatibility report, and that doing so does not violate any law or any other person's rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

scrape, crawl, harvest, or use automated means to access or collect data from the Service;
copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially exploit the Service or any generated content except as expressly permitted;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, models, or prompts underlying the Service;
interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, or systems;
use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to submit another person's data without authority; or
use the Service in violation of any applicable law or these Terms.

7. Purchases, Tokens, Subscriptions, and Billing

Some features require payment. We offer one-time purchases, consumable tokens that are spent to generate content, and recurring subscriptions. Prices and what each plan or token unlocks are described at the point of purchase. All payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full payment card details.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

8. Refund Policy

Because Eclipse delivers digital goods, the following applies except where a non-waivable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise:

Generated content and spent tokens are non-refundable. Once a reading, report, or chat response has been generated — or once a token has been spent — that purchase is final, because the digital good has already been delivered.
Cooling-off for unused purchases. If you have not used a one-time purchase or consumed any tokens from a purchase, you may request a full refund of that unused purchase within 14 days by contacting support.eclipsehq@gmail.com.
Subscriptions. Subscription fees already charged for the current period are generally non-refundable, but you will not be charged again after you cancel. We may, at our discretion, grant refunds in cases of billing errors or service failures.

Nothing in this policy limits any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

9. Plans, "Unlimited," and Fair Use

We want to be straightforward about what our plans include so there are no surprises.

What "unlimited" means. Where a plan is described as "unlimited," that word refers only to the Eclipse AI guidance chat — the back-and-forth conversational feature. It does not mean unlimited detailed readings, unlimited compatibility reports, or any other feature, and it does not mean truly infinite usage. "Unlimited" chat is offered subject to reasonable fair-use protections that keep the Service fast, available, and sustainable for everyone, including:

a brief cooldown between messages to keep conversations natural and prevent automated flooding;
a sensible daily and overall maximum ceiling on the volume of chat messages in a given period; and
anti-abuse rate limits and other safeguards against scripted, automated, or excessive use.

These protections are intended for ordinary personal use. Normal human conversation will not run into them; they exist to stop abuse and to keep the experience responsive for all users.

Detailed readings and compatibility reports. These are provided as the monthly allotments stated on each plan — for example, the number of full readings or compatibility reports included per billing period. They are not covered by the "unlimited" chat allowance. Once you have used the allotment included with your plan, generating additional detailed readings or compatibility reports requires Stardust (our consumable tokens), as described at the point of purchase.

We may adjust fair-use limits. To keep the Service fast, reliable, and sustainable, Eclipse may set, change, or refine fair-use limits — including cooldowns, ceilings, and rate limits — from time to time. We will apply these limits reasonably and aim to give notice of material changes that meaningfully affect typical use.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its software, design, text, graphics, underlying models, prompts, and the "Eclipse" name and marks — is owned by Eclipse or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and to use the readings and reports we generate for you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, resell, or present generated content as anything other than astrological interpretive content.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties, including AI providers (to generate text from your birth details and prompts), a payment processor, and hosting and infrastructure providers. Your use of those features may be subject to the third parties' own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared with these providers.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY READING, REPORT, OR CHAT RESPONSE WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ECLIPSE AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Eclipse and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, and indemnification provisions — will survive.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by updating the "last updated" date or providing in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the dispute resolution section below, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Georgia, USA.

18. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It affects how disputes between you and Eclipse are resolved — including through individual arbitration and a waiver of class actions — except where the mandatory law of your place of residence provides otherwise.

To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will first be addressed through good-faith informal negotiation by contacting support.eclipsehq@gmail.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration body in the State of Georgia, USA, rather than in court, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court where eligible. To the extent permitted by law, you and Eclipse waive any right to participate in a class or representative action. Where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, nothing here removes that right.
