This Privacy Policy explains how Veritas Horizon LLC ("Eclipse," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the Eclipse website, applications, and related services (the "Service"). These services are provided by Veritas Horizon LLC. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

Your birth details and generated reports are processed by third-party AI services. To generate readings, compatibility reports, and chat responses, the birth details and prompts you provide are sent to third-party artificial-intelligence providers, which process them on our behalf.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: your email address and name (for example, from an email or Google sign-in).
Birth details: the birth date, time, and place you enter — and, for compatibility reports, the birth details you provide for another person.
Derived chart data: astrological positions, charts, and other data computed from the birth details, and the readings and reports generated for you.
Guidance chat content: the messages and questions you submit to the AI guidance chat.
Usage data: log and device information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and interactions, used to operate and secure the Service.
Payment metadata: limited transaction information (such as plan, amount, status, and a token or last-four reference) received from our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number.

2. How We Use Your Data

to generate your readings, compatibility reports, and chat responses;
to create and manage your account and authenticate you;
to process purchases, tokens, and subscriptions and handle billing;
to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and prevent abuse and fraud; and
to communicate with you about the Service and respond to your requests.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law (such as the EU/UK GDPR) requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract with you (to provide the Service you request); your consent (for example, to process the birth details you choose to submit, including any special categories of data — you may withdraw consent at any time); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent or object to certain processing as described below.

4. Storage and Security

Account data, birth details, derived chart data, and generated reports are stored using our hosting and database provider (Supabase) and related infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. How We Share Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of the data:

AI providers: we send your birth details, derived chart data, and chat prompts to third-party AI providers so they can generate the readings, reports, and responses you request.
Payment processor: to process purchases, subscriptions, and refunds.
Hosting and infrastructure (including Supabase): to store data and operate the Service.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (subject to this Policy).

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies that are necessary to operate the Service — primarily to keep you signed in and maintain your authentication session and preferences. We do not use them to build advertising profiles. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may break sign-in and other features.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise these rights — including to request access, deletion, or a copy of your data — contact us at support.eclipsehq@gmail.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers (including our AI, payment, and hosting providers) may process and store your data in countries other than your own, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
